The Top 10 Job Industries That Are Still Hiring During The Recession

by Hank Coleman

The temporary employment agency Manpower, which produces an annual Talent Shortage Survey, found that 30% of employers worldwide are still struggling this year to find qualified job candidates.

The Top 10 hardest job slots to fill in the U.S. are:

  1. Engineers
  2. Nurses
  3. Skilled trade
  4. Teachers
  5. Sales reps
  6. Technicians
  7. Drivers
  8. IT Staff
  9. Laborers
  10. Machinists and machine operators

These are definitely true.  I know several people who have just been hired as teachers and nurses in these past few months despite the recession.  And, how many of us have seen the bumper stickers on the back of big rig trucks begging for new drivers?

I wonder if machinists will stay on this list? It seems a lot of people working in various areas of the auto industry would have these skills.

yeah they probably would have the skills but they all certainly would not just pick up and move to all the different parts of the united states where their is a job opening for a machinist
