With the holiday season coming up fast, many people are starting to think about what to give their loved ones for Christmas. If you are not thinking about it yet, you should. It will be here before you know it, and the deals around town thanks to the recession are awesome!
So, I thought that you might like to see some great movies about money to give you some gift ideas. Below are my “Top 10? favorite movies about personal finance, business, and money matters:
1. The Secret of My Success
– This movie made me want to be a corporate Lemming! I don’t think that I would have ever become interested in majoring in Business in college if I had not loved this movie growing up. It really made such an impression on me, and that is why I always list it as my favorite business movie ahead of everyone else’s favorite, “Wall Street”.
2. Wall Street (20th Anniversary Edition)
3. Boiler Room
7. Office Space
8. Rogue Trader
10. Startup.com
Honorable Mentions:
Antitrust, In Good Company
, GoodFellas
, The Hudsucker Proxy
, and Citizen Kane
Readers’ Favorites:
Money Pit, Trading Places, and War of the Roses

How about a couple of comedies? I would suggest “The Money Pit” for the lesson about homebuying. Also the “The War of the Roses” is a good story about money not buying you happiness.
Trading Places. Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd were a combination.
“This is an outrage … get those traders back in here … turn those machines back on!”
