The guys over at MoneyCrashers.com have come up with a great new tool that was launched last week listing the Top PF Blogs (Personal Finance Blogs). It is one of the largest and most comprehensive lists of personal finance and money blogs that I have seen on the internet. The site ranks the best personal finance blogs based on a host of factors and even breaks the blogs down into categories. The list continues to grow with new blogs added every day, and the rankings shift automatically also with daily updates.
The Top PF Blogs List is formulated using factors and statistics such as a blog’s FeedBurner subscribers, Twitter followers, Alexa rank, Compete rank, Technorati authority, Google PageRank, number of inbound links according to Yahoo, SEOmoz rank, and SEMRush organic search value, and then calculates a weighted score based on that huge amount of data. The list is a very accurate and detailed rankings all of the top personal finance blogs. Another great feature of the list is that you can sort the rankings based on which certain categories of personal finance that a blog focuses on such as the sites that concentrate more on investing, banking, credit and debt, credit cards, frugality, coupons, and several other categories. For example, Own the Dollar is listed in the “Personal Finance” sub-category instead of “Investing”.
Another great feature that I like about the rankings is that it lists all of the blogs’ website URL, its RSS feeds, and the site’s Twitter username if it has one. I have already found over ten new blogs that I am just dying to start following on Twitter and in my RSS Reader now. Be sure to follow Own the Dollar on Twitter too! And, check out our RSS feed.
Own the Dollar was included for the initial launch of the rankings which came out last week for the first time, and the blog is currently ranked at #181 as of October 17th. The list is updated constantly. So, I’m excited to see how all of the blogs will continue to shift out. Readers of Own the Dollar should recognize a lot of the blogs at the top of the heap. Many of the blogs and bloggers were also listed on my Top 30 PF Bloggers To Follow On Twitter list.
Check out the listing. It is a great resource if you are looking for some awesome personal finance, investing, and money blogs to follow.
