I recently wrote an article about the Top 30 Personal Finance Bloggers that you should be following on Twitter. These bloggers are doing some amazing things on Twitter opening up great discussions about finance, investing, retirement, and other money topics. These guys and gals are not sharing with you what they had for breakfast or trying to sell you their latest get rich quick scheme. They are giving out great tips, giving away awesome freebies, and talking about some of helpful financial products out there available to help people.
So, I thought that it would be great to point out the top fifteen certified financial planners (CFP) that are spreading some great information, tips, articles, and other tidbits around the web through Twitter not just to their clients but to everyone. Some of these CFPs have their own websites or blogs as well and those websites are listed next to their Twitter username below.

Okay, you caught me. So, they are all not quite CFPs. In addition to these great Certified Financial Planners should be following, there are also financial advisors and registered investment advisors that fit the bill of “must follow” as well. Those who are known CFPs were listed with the credentials by their names. If I have made an error, please drop me a line through the contact page, and I will fix your listing.
Also, don’t forget to check Own The Dollar out on Twitter and my own personal account as well Hank Coleman on Twitter.
So, who did I forget or leave off the list? I know there are tons out there. Let me know in the comment section. Who is your favorite CFP on Twitter?

Hank,
Thanks so much for the list. I was following most of these folks already, but I definitely added a few new names to watch.
And of course, I appreciate the mention for my own @MichaelKitces too! 🙂

Hank, we agree with you that CFPs and financial advisors in general are doing an awesome job in stepping up their online communicating about the markets, personal finance and even what can be expected of those in their profession.
At AdvisorTweets.com, we follow the tweets of most on your list above and about 435 other U.S.-based advisors who are using their Twitter accounts for business purposes, with more added weekly. We restrict our following to advisors only because following advisors and non-advisors would skew our aggregation.
Of course, you and your readers are invited to check the site out and see what other advisors you might want to follow.
I’m more of a @CurtisASmithCFP kind of guy. He provides his own awesome content as well as RTs other interesting stuff. His blog is good as well for anything regarding personal finance and wealth.
Signed,
@NDFinancialServ
