Today, people across the nation will be racing through malls and stores to get their hands on the best deals on the busiest shopping day of the year. You can also get in on the discounts without ever leaving your house by “checking in” on Foursquare. No longer do you need to clip coupons or check the circulars.
Check out these deals on Foursquare on Black Friday…
RadioShack is offering a number of discounts for checking in on Foursquare. Users receive 10% for checking in, 15% if they’re the mayor, and 20% for unlocking the “Holiday Hero” Badge.
The Gap just announced a Black Friday deal: users who check in receive 30% off any item.
Sports Authority is also in on the action. The sporting goods store will randomly select 20 users who push their Foursquare check-ins to Twitter between 10am and 3pm EST to receive a $500 dollar gift card.
Check in to H&M on one of the mobile apps and receive 20% off purchases.
Check in to JCPenney and receive $10 dollars off purchases of $50 dollars or more.
The first 3,000 people to check in at Toys-R-Us get a 15% discount.
Guests at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas can earn an extra night for free by checking in literally and figuratively.
Old Navy will be donating free phone calls to troops when 15,000 customers check in.
North Face will donate $1 to the National Park Foundation for every check-in
You can also get coupons by checking into American Eagle for 15% off through 12/31/2010.
You can earn 20% off at Hollister through 11/25/2010.
Get $50 toward purchases of $300 or more through 12/31/2010 at
Zales.
I love Foursquare. I’m kind of addicted to checking in to places and collecting badges and points. I’m still not quite sure why. I still blame Gary Vaynerchuk for getting me started after listening to his first radio show on Sirius XM satellite radio.
